Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to New Caledonia, north to Southern Japan, and also Truk and Guam.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits course gravel bottom areas in shallow lagoons and subtidal flats and lives with Alpheid/pistol shrimp and usually found at depths between 3 – 15 feet (1 – 5 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
