Roving Coral Grouper

Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa, including the Red Sea, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Similan Islands, Sumatra, and Fiji.

Size: 35 inches (90 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow lagoons and seaward reefs and is usually found in depths between 30 to 150 feet (10 – 45 m) where it feeds on smaller fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Usually has a mottled reddish brown body. Not collected for the trade.
