Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Japan to Hawaiian Islands.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky local reefs and is usually found at depths between 6 – 100 feet (2 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a brownish body and head with fine white spots on the head and small white blotches on the body, and a reddish tail. Not collected for the trade.
