Apogon zebrinus

(Fraser, Randall & Lachner, 1999)

Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Size: 3 inches (7 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore reef caves and usually found at depths between 3 – 30 feet (1 – 10 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a greyish silvery body with several pale brown vertical bars and a dark blotch on the caudal peduncle. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
