Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Sumatra to Tonga and Vanuatu, north to Southern Japan, also Palau and Mariana Islands.

Size: 4 inches (11 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore bays and lagoons and stays near caves and usually found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a transparent somewhat silvery body with short blue lines just above and below the eyes, and a black spot on the caudal peduncle. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
